Are the products waterproof?
Visiglo collars and leashes are not “waterproof”. Submerging or soaking the battery compartment will cause a malfunction and can harm the electronics.
I’ve soaked the battery compartment, what can I do?
If you do soak the battery compartment, remove the batteries and allow the unit to dry completely for 72 hours. Reinstall fresh batteries and see if the unit will function.
Are the batteries replaceable? How do I replace them?
Visiglo collars are powered by two replaceable high capacity CR 2025 batteries. Visiglo leashes are powered by two AA batteries.
How do I turn the collar on/off? It only lights up for a few seconds.
The small button on the side of the collar power pack is the "try me" button. The try me button only lights the collar for a few seconds. The on/off button is located in the center of the buckle and is marked with a paw print. Press the paw to turn on, press gain to turn off.
The collar/leash does not light up? Why does the glow appear less bright?
Please check the batteries. Changing the batteries typically solves 98% of all illumination related issues.
The batteries drain quickly in steady on mode. Is there a problem?
Understanding the following will help to eliminate any misunderstanding. There are 2 batteries for a total of 6 Volts.
Steady mode requires at least 3 volts to operate while the flashing mode can function down to 1.5 volts. As such, with two new batteries and set on "constant on" mode, the batteries will drain down to 3 volts after 5 hours. The collars will then automatically shut off, however, if you turn on the collar at flashing mode, it may take another 15-20 hours to drain down the batteries to 1.5 volts, as to completely shut off the collar. It takes approximately 60 hours to drain down twonew batteries to 1.5 volts (to shut off the collar) at flashing mode.
By the same token, if the batteries of the collar has been drained down to 3 volts and you turn it on again after a while or in the next day, the collar could light up on constant on mode for 3 minutes (or less) and then automatically shut off (like the first time from 6 volts to 3 volts). Nonetheless, it will still work on flashing mode till the batteries dries up (to 1.5 volts).
