Caring for Your Cool N Dry Product
- If dry or stuck together, do not peel apart! Soak for about 10–60 minutes in warm water (longer if in cold water water). If possible, wash with normal laundry—products will come out perfectly hydrated!
- Store the clean, wet PVA sponge in its plastic container or a zip bag. PVA sponge becomes hard when dry. Simply rewet and it comes to life!
- For extended periods of time, store in dry form or leave cap off container.
- Machine wash (washing machine or dishwasher) with liquid detergent and/or ammonia—avoid powder or bleach. PVA products work even better after washing several times.
- Do not dry in dryer (product is used wet—drying doesn’t hurt but is meaningless).
- PVA sponge is not affected by mold, mildew, or odor. If PVA sponge or PVA towel has mold or mildew (brown, black, or green spots), wash in liquid detergent and ammonia. If mold or mildew is still evident, soak in a 5:1 solution (5 parts water for 1 part liquid bleach) for about 5 minutes. Note: Color of product may fade due to bleach. Test for fastness!
