The Hurtta Lifeguard Polar Vest is a soft and warm high-visibility vest that is flexible enough to yield to the dog's movement. This close-fitting vest protects the dog's chest area cage and keeps it dry. The vest is made from rustle-free, softshell fabric with a laminated water-resistant Houndtex® layer. The Lifeguard Polar Vest is ideal for sporting activities, hunting, and daily walks. Please note that the inherent warmth of the product does not make it suitable for summer use.
Hurtta is a Finnish company that specializes in garments for the very active dog. To guarantee the high quality of each product, Hurtta tests the durability and functionality of both the materials and designs with professional canine athletes and handlers.

What size vest does your dog need? Click on the Sizing tab above for instructions on how to measure your dog and choose the appropriate size.
How to Measure Your Dog: To fit your dog for a Hurtta Lifeguard Polar Vest, you first need to determine his neck. Be sure that your dog is standing squarely, with head up, and is looking straight ahead. Take the neck measurement from the widest part of the dog’s neck; that is, from the base of the neck.
Next measure the dog's chest/girth. This measurement is taken from the widest part of the dog's chest, just behind the forelegs. Breeds with long and thick fur need more room for the chest than dogs with short fur.
