They know, because they taste-test everything they make! Preference is minimally processed to preserve the natural nutrients present; the food undergoes no high heat processing or extrusion, and is therefore a highly concentrated source of natural nutrition. One cup of dehydrated food hydrates to make about 1 lb. of fresh food. The shelf-life of this product prior to re-hydration is approximately 12 months.

Feeding Instructions

One cup dehydrated food = 1 lb. of fresh food. Each cup of dehydrated food should be re-hydrated with pure, warm, filtered, or tap water in the amount directed on the package. Add the water to the food and stir well. The product will initially resemble soup. Let stand for 10 minutes minimum so the ingredients rehydrate sufficiently. Stir again and serve. Any leftovers should be refrigerated or discarded.
