Newest Product Reviews for Clip and Go Agility Clearway Weave Pole Guides

Be gentle with them and they will be worth the purchase!
I haver never used guide wires in almost 15 years of doing agility, but was recently convinced that comboing them with channel weaves was a solid errorless learning option. A friend had these so I was able to see them before purchasing. They are a bit fussy to put together, but once you get that over with, they are great. I have only had them a few months, so we will see how they hold up over time (the clips themselves are what concern me), but so far I am more than happy that I got them! My young dog has amazing weaves already, and I am glad we used the guides as part of the training process.

Game changer!
I use these constantly and they are easy to take on and off and hold up well. From my Great Dane students to my 4 lb Chihuahua students, these guides hold their shape and never sag. As dogs become confident in the weaves, they don’t even notice when I raise them above their heads and eventually take them off. I have two sets!

difficult to to put together
Honestly this is the first time I have been disappointed with a Clip and Go product. It was very fiddly and difficult to put together- just was not what I was expecting. :(

Very nice, but seem a bit short
I love the design and that they do not sag. I have Rat Terriers and I wish these were just a little bit longer. All of my previous small dogs have hopped through the weaves and these are short enough that my dogs have to single step to avoid bumping into the guides. Because of their body size they seem to have trouble maintaining this pattern through twelve poles.

The BEST guide wires
This is my fifth set of guide wires, I keep changing brands with each new set. First were the ones from MAD agility (no longer sold), they became brittle within a year or two out in the elements. Next was a set that claimed to be able to withstand the weather, and perhaps they could, but the wires were floppy and just sagged to the ground, the complete opposite of their exact purpose! Next was a DIY set where you cut a PVC pipe and attached some narrow water line tubing. These were a bit difficult to get on and off and were also more flimsy than I liked. Fourth was a set I got off eBay or Etsy. They were also difficult to get on an off, but the bigger concern for me was their size. They were very substantial, with the tubing being nearly 1" in diameter. It seemed more like a jump bar than a guide. This Clip and Go set was my favorite as soon as I opened it! Sure, there's a bit of DIY to assemble the clips but that also allows one to tighten or loosen the clips to fit your weave pole diameter. I find they clip on and off very easily (maybe off too easily as the Beauceron I've been weave training has popped them off occasionally). I like that they're clear, though I'm not sure it makes a difference to the dogs. I don't know if they'll hold up in the weather though given how easily these go on-and-off, taking them in when not in use is not a chore like it was for the other sets. If you're shopping for guide wires, I definitely think you'll like these as much as I do!

Great Guides, Easy to Put Together!
The guides are excellent. Easy to put together and they go together very well. All it takes is a little bit of patience. Easy to clip on and off poles. I highly recommend these guides.

Constantly breaking
My trainers have used similar products before with great success and I love the prosuct in theory. However, the clips keep falling apart. Everytime I clip them onto my weaves half of the clips fall apart. I've tried gluing them with extremely tight gorilla glue and they still break every time. It's extremely frustrating to be ready to practice and the equipment breaks. I store them inside in AC without any sun exposure. They've had issues from the beginning even though I was super careful assembling them. Soft plastic and metal threads are not a good combination. They also came on the injection molding gates that you have to physically clip off and it's clipped all the way to the bottom, they do not fit together and I actually had to file the gates down after I clipped them.

A bit fragile
These guides are great for training weaves, however I've had 2 of the "ribbons" break on me and have others that have deformed. I believe the plastic guides may be heat intolerant and must be kept out of the sun after use. I've contacted Customer Service so hopefully I will be able to get replacement parts. Update: I did contact Clean Run and they immediately responded and send replacement parts. I am very pleased with the customer service I have received on this product and in the past with another product issue. Thank you Clean Run.

Design
The design on the attachment is flawed. Putting the guides on the first time a number of the pole connectors split and stripped the screw holding the two pieces together. If you are taking these guides on and off frequently, life will be frustrating. I did not overtighten the screws on the initial assembly.
Comment from Clean Run Our customer service team has reached out to you with some assembly tips and will be sending you several replacement clips for your Clear Way weave guides. Please contact our customer service team at info@cleanrun.com if you have any additional questions.

Game changer!
The new flat design is fantastic! The guides no longer sag. I train everything from 4 lb Chihuahuas up to a 150 lb Great Dane! Set them to shoulder height and they are perfect. Many of my students dogs (as well as my own) can now weave without the guides from great distances away.
