I was playing with my dogs today and realized how much we use this toy and just how impressive it is that it is still in such good shape, so I decided I needed to post a review. I have had this toy for over 5 years with 2 dogs and it is still going strong, which is quite a feat in our house. I have used it alone as just a tug toy, but its main value has come as a long handle to add to other toys. The favorite toy in our house for the last few years has been this handle attached to a bling bungee ring, which is then attached to a jumbo Holee-Roller ball, and the handle has outlasted multiple bungee rings and H-R balls. My dogs have two completely different tug styles; my aussie likes to lean her weight back and tug with all her might while my collie likes to be dragged around by the tug toy. With this handle, I can play with both of them at the same time (aussie hauls on the end and pulls back while the collie grabs the handle in the middle as I move it around) and stay standing up, which saves my back. It is also long enough that when they are competing for a spot on the toy, even if they go a few feet up the toy, my fingers are still well out of the way. Additionally, the handle is nice and soft on my hands, which allows me to play longer when my aussie is pulling her hardest. My collie also loves to chew through ropes on tug toys (either he chews on it while my aussie is tugging to try and break the rope or if you are holding one end and stop paying attention, he will lay on the other to pull it taut and chew), and has killed many other fleece/rope/nylon/bungee handles, but he has yet to make a dent in this one. TLDR I highly recommend this handle/tug for its durability and utility, especially in multi-dog households and in situations where bending over to play with your dog is problematic.
