Our 3/4" furniture-grade PVC 3-way fittings are made in the USA exclusively for Clean Run and are designed to fit externally over the end of 3/4" PVC pipe. These furniture-grade PVC fittings are produced with much longer socket depths than plumbing fittings in order to increase the stability and strength of your finished assemblies. In addition, they provide superior impact-resistance (5 times as strong as plumbing fittings), weatherability, and UV-resistance compared to plumbing PVC fittings.
These fittings are injection molded from 100% furniture-grade PVC compound. They have a smooth and high-gloss finish, tapered ends, and are completely free of manufacturer markings. They are perfect for making the A-frame box used by Rachel Sanders to train reliable running A-frame contacts.
Our 3/4" furniture-grade PVC 3-way fittings have an inside diameter of 1-1/16" (1.050") so they will fit over 3/4" PVC pipe, which has an outside diameter of 1-1/16" (1.050").
Important: If you want to use our fittings, but you are buying pipe at your local home store, it is critical to know what size pipe you have purchased. When using plumbing-grade PVC pipe for your project, you can determine the size you have by reading the manufacturer markings or printing that is on the outside of the pipe. Our fittings will work with pipe that says 3/4" SCH 40. If your pipe is not marked, you will need to measure it. PVC pipe is identified and named based on the inside diameter (ID) of the pipe. So 3/4" PVC is called that because it has an inside diameter of 3/4". The outside diameter of 3/4" PVC is actually 1-1/16". One of the biggest problems encountered by many of our customers is that they attempt to measure the outside diameter (OD) of the pipe, which will give a completely different (and larger) PVC pipe dimension. So to reduce the likelihood of having to return or exchange items, measure the inside of your pipe rather than the outside.
