Help prevent canine heat stress with the Cooler Dog Ice Vest and Cooling Collar. Ideal for hot days, humid climates, and breeds prone to overheating.
Just freeze the 100% U.S.A. purified water FlexiFreeze strips and place them in the Ice Vest where the ice will pull heat from underneath your dog’s body—yes, underneath! Veterinarians agree this is most appropriate. And there is nothing more effective at removing heat than the pure frozen water in FlexiFreeze. The Cooling Collar also uses the same technology, and it can be used with the vest or by itself.
The current marketplace for canine cooling coats is centered around evaporative vests and coats. While evaporative solutions feel cooler to touch than their surrounding environment, the effectiveness of evaporative cooling products is compromised in high humidity conditions; unfortunately, the vast majority of people in the U.S. live in high humidity areas. Drawing excess heat off of a dog's body core requires materials with high heat absorption capacity. Water, when frozen, has a high capactiy to absorb heat as it thaws. Cooler Dog products use water's phase change heat absorption capacity to draw excess heat from a dog's body core from underneath the dog where it's more effective.
Note: Extra FlexiFreeze is inexpensive. You can bring extra ice sets along in your FlexiFreeze® Cooler to keep your dog cool all day long!
What size vest does your dog need? Click on the Sizing tab above for instructions on how to measure your dog and choose the appropriate size.
How to Measure Your Dog: To fit your dog for a Cooler Dog Ice Vest, you need to determine his chest/girth measurement. Be sure that your dog is standing squarely, with head up, and is looking straight ahead. The chest/girth measurement is taken from the widest part of the dog's chest, just behind the forelegs.
