The TipAssist is a convenient tool that replaces the need for tables, chairs, poles, jump standards, phone books, crates, or any other nik-naks to support and elevate the seesaw during training. This training aid was invented by Lynne Stephens of Doglogic Canine Education in Statesville, North Carolina, and developed by Emmco Sport.
The TipAssist allows you to take complete control of the seesaw's motion when teaching the dog to drive to the end of the plank and stop at the bottom of the obstacle, and it allows you to change the degree of tip quickly and easily when working with multiple dogs (either your own, your friends', or in a class situation). Each dog can progress at his own pace.
Because you can increase the amount of tip in extremely small increments, the TipAssist is an excellent tool for teaching the seesaw to beginner dogs as well as for instilling confidence in fearful dogs. The dogs learn to run confidently through the tipping point to the very end of the board. And, it's a cinch to set it up to play the Bang Game as part of your training.
The TipAssist is sturdy, but lightweight because it's made from aluminum, and folds flat so that it can stowed in your car and taken on the road with you to train on other seesaws. You can order it with paint (it's powder-coated) or without.
Some assembly required before first use.
