Clip and Go Agility Weave Pole Guide Wires

Clip and Go Agility Weave Pole Guide Wires

$34.99 - $64.99

Clip and Go Weave Pole Guide Wires are incredibly easy to use—just snap them on and off your weave poles as needed. They are made of flexible but tough UV-stabilized polypropylene tubing that holds its shape and sturdy snap-on clips that are molded as single pieces. The clips are designed to clip fit any weave pole that is made from standard 3/4" schedule 40 PVC. The clips will slide up or down on the weave poles so that the wires are at the desired height for your dog.

The guide wires are approximately 57" long so they will fit 24" spaced poles out of the box, but they easily can be cut to a shorter length if desired. When you use the guide wires with 24" spaced poles, the channel will be narrower than it would be with poles spaced at a lesser distance. There will be 13" of space between the pole and the widest arc of the wire.

Using the guide wires for the first time requires some minimal assembly; you need to slide a snap-on clip into each end of the poly tubing.

Note: If you are not sure whether your weave poles are made from Schedule 40 3/4" PVC, you can measure the outside diameter of your poles. Despite its name, 3/4" schedule 40 pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 1-1/16" (1.050").

Packaging:

  • Set for 6 weave poles—everything you need for 6 weave poles, 4 guides and 10 clips (2 extra)
  • Set for 12 weave poles—everything you need for 12 weave poles, 10 guides and 22 clips (2 extra)

The first time the clips go on your poles is the most difficult; they get easier to take on and off the more you use them.

The easiest way to put them on your weave poles is to hold the clip at a 45-degree angle to the pole, push one corner onto the pole first, and then rotate the clip to get the rest of it on the pole. Don't be afraid of breaking the clip—it will not break.

It will also help if you attach the tubing to the clip first (it gives you more to hang onto).

Great puppy training tool
Our pup has taken beginning agility but was struggling with the weave. Our trainer suggested these guides and they really help. Slowly working on moving them higher as she goes along and hopefully she will weave without them soon

very helpful in training my dogs with weaves
taking a weave online course that recommends weave poles to start out with. Very easy to set up. Slide up and down for different heights for different dogs. When I break down the poles to put away, I very carefully, leave the guides on and put away the set

Clips are too small
Extremely disappointed in these. I didn't even get them out of the bag they came in. Pulled out one plastic clip and knew they woudln't work. The clips are WAY too small around to fit on the weave poles I have (from Max 200), no matter how I tried to force one on the pole. I'd love to know what magic was used to get them onto the poles in the display picture, because there was no way they were getting onto mine.
Comment from Clean Run We do hear this comment occasionally, but the clips do fit. Those are actually Max 200 weave poles in the photo. The first time the clips go on is the most difficult. The easiest way to put them on is to hold the clip at a 45-degree angle to the pole, push one corner on first, and then rotate the clip to get the rest of it on the pole. It will also help if you attach the tubing to the clip first (it gives you more to hang onto). Don't be afraid of breaking the clip - it will not break.

They sag. Badly
These were not worth the money. They sag, and very badly. Not only that, but they are EXTREMELY hard to clip onto the poles even though I have very strong hands, and moving them is very difficult too. I wish I had not bought them. Now, in the middle of training my dog, I have to order a different brand and hope these don't get in the way of my dog moving forward just as she's "getting it" -- while I wait for new guides that don't sag.
Comment from Clean Run We're sorry you're having trouble with your wires, but it sounds like there are a couple of problems at work. 1 - The clips are designed to be used with 3/4" Schedule 40 PVC. If your PVC is larger than this, it would make the wires more difficult to clip on. If you are not sure whether your weave poles are made from Schedule 40 3/4" PVC, you can measure the outside diameter of your poles. Despite its name, 3/4" schedule 40 pipe has an outside diameter of approximately 1-1/16" (1.050"). 2 - It sounds like the wires are too long for the spacing of your poles and that's why they are sagging. Because people have weave poles with different spacing, they are designed to be customized as needed. The black tubing is pretty easy to cut. If you would like to send a photo to info@cleanrun.com, we can better advise you. Also, if you're ever not happy with a product, please return it.
