I have the original ventlock and it fits all my vehicles. These tailgate locks work exactly the same but do not fit one of my vehicles, a 2010 Toyota RAV 4 and barely fit on my 2020 Ford Transit cargo van. The shaft that slides into the door lock is just too wide and the lock wouldn't close. I bought 2 and returned the tailgate lock that was still in the package. The product does look well made.
