Hook not a good shape.

This product is not nearly as effective as the old Vent Lock was. The problem is the shape of the hook. It's V-shaped instead of U shaped, and it is easy to open the car, even with this device in place. If you are using it only for ventilation it's fine, but don't think for a second it will safeguard your car or dog in any way, not like the old Vent Lock did. Overall the construction is sturdy and the same as the old one. I'm going to a metal work workshop and see if they can replace the hook with a U hook instead of a V hook.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Unfortunately, the Ventlock company went out of business. It may be the design of your particular latching system that is causing the problem or that the lock isn't installed tightly enough. If the lock is screwed down all the way, you can't move it out of place.
