First Day of Course: Whenever you choose!
Course Length: 6 lessons that you can complete at your own pace. There are no fixed deadlines or due dates.
Make handling easier for yourself! Advanced agility courses feature a number of difficult handling challenges, and just pushing your dog to the backside of the jump is no longer enough for a successful run. Having to go with your dog to complete a backside can put you out of position for handling the next sequence on course. By teaching your dog an independent send to the backside of a jump, you can cue the obstacle and then move on to set up for handing the next challenge.
From teaching understanding on one jump to running tricky sequences with backsides, Tammy's step-by-step program will help you teach your dog the commitment and distance necessary for a truly independent backside.
All of the initial training is done with a single wing jump so it's easy to work on at home, even if you have limited space available.

Tammy has been training dogs for more than 30 years, getting her start in 4-H obedience in middle school. Tammy found her love for agility in 1999 and started teaching agility in 2002. She opened her own training program in 2006 when she founded Oregon School for Clever Dogs. Tammy is best known for helping her students create happy working relationships with their dogs. All of Tammy's own dogs enjoy working with her and it is obvious through the joy and engagement they show on course.
Tammy likes to focus on trust and clear communication between dog and handler. As an instructor, she puts heavy emphasis on the understanding of partnership on and off the course using reward based training and play.
Tammy’s background as a Veterinary Technician and a Small Animal Massage Practitioner allows her to see when problems on course may be due to physical limitations and not necessarily training issues.
"Tammy Moody was our agility coach until she moved to Bend, OR. I can't say enough great things about Tammy and her teaching style. She works great with all teams at all levels!! She has an excellent eye for what each team needs to focus on to improve. She has a super positive AND "put it into practice" approach. My dog has lovely independent backsides, thanks to Tammy's instruction and lots of practice." —Louise
