Our mushroom-shaped nose work hide is 1-1/2" high when inserted into the ground and the mushroom cap is 1-5/8" in diameter. The spike for inserting it into the ground is just under an inch.
The mushroom cap screws on and off and holds multiple Q-tip ends.
The stem of all the mushrooms is tan, but you can choose from 3 different cap colors: tan to match, brown, or red.

Our nose work vessels are made of PLA (Polylactic Acid) filament which is a recyclable, natural thermoplastic polyester derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugar cane.
While PLA itself in its pure form is odorless, nontoxic, and considered food-safe, PLA filament is usually not because manufacturers use additives to make it tougher and print better, dyes for bright colors, etc. We researched to find materials that have certification documents showing they've been tested for toxicity and also that they are made with nontoxic dyes.
Here are some important tips for use and care of our nose work vessels:
- You can leave Q-tips in the vessel for short periods, but don't store them in the vessel for long periods. Essential oils react to ALL surfaces they come in contact with which can cause training problems because the reaction changes how the odor smells. Periodically change your Q-tips and clean the vessel.
- The vessels are NOT dishwasher-safe. They should be hand-washed in warm water (if your hands are not comfortable in the water, it's too hot!) using liquid dish soap. Towel dry or air dry.
- You can also clean out your vessels by wiping the inside with 70% isopropyl alcohol (rubbing alcohol) or using Zero Odor Spray.
- Temperatures above 110°F can warp products made from PLA so do not leave the vessels in direct sunlight or a hot vehicle for long periods of time.
