This unit works fine but it should have been clear that it only holds one treat at a time. I guess it has a special purpose but it’s not useful for training in general.

We're sorry if this was not clear from the description or photos. We're happy to issue a refund if you would like to return it. There is an article on the website called Comparison with Treat & Train that outlines the pros and cons of both of these dispensers. There are actually lots of people using it for general agility training because of the reasons mentioned in the article. It's not useful for things like putting on top of a dog's crate and dispensing a treat when he's being quiet, but it's great for agility drills where you want to put out food instead of a toy and you don't want the dog to be able to steal it.

The first time I used this, it worked great. Being as I got it in winter, I don't have a chance to use it much with all the snow on the ground! The second time I pulled it out to use on my small inside space,I couldn't get it to pair. After about a half an hour it finally connected. I had checked the batteries and they were fully charged, it just didn't want to connect. The third time I pulled it out, same thing. It would not pair and I never got it to. Once again, I checked batteries, even changed them to see if that helped. No success. What a disappointment.

Love my Ready Treat remote dispensers. Use for teaching distance, straight line and lateral jumps. Great for contacts and directionals. Have never had an issue with the newer version of the units. Long time user for both me and my students.
