I found the mini lotus ball the ideal way to train a non-retrieving dog (my Pomsky, Miki) learn to retrieve. He loves to chase it (for the treats) but can't get to them himself, so he's beginning to bring the lotus ball back to me for his reward. It really does work. It gives me a another way to reward him besides treats alone. I have a homemade treat toy but the treats tend to fall out and he can reward himself, which is great for some training but I want him to come to me more as he's very independent.
