I have 2 Icelandic Sheepdogs (about 25 to 30 pounds) and a Papillon and these are a great size for them! Much bigger than 17 inches at the shoulder and the dog may not be able to lay down comfortably on them but my guys do just fine. The height is great, not too tall and not too short. I got the turf one because I plan to use it outside. It is also working well for one method of running contact training at the moment. Bonus!
