Timing and consistency are critical in helping your dog learn. The Teach & Treat Remote Reward Trainer is a great tool for helping dogs learn because it allows you to quickly reward your dog when you get the behavior you want to see. Use the Teach & Treat to develop the behaviors you want from your dog, like sitting, keeping calm, and responding to verbal commands. It's also an invaluable tool in dog sport training.

With the press of a button on your remote control, the Teach & Treat dispenses kibble or treats from up to 30 yards away. The unit is lightweight and portable, transforming every room of your house into a classroom where your dog can learn new skills or sharpen old ones. You can even place it on top of your dog's crate so you can drop treats in when he is behaving in the crate. The unit is powered by 4 D batteries and treats are dispensed with a quiet motor, allowing your dog to focus on the positive reinforcement the Teach & Treat will deliver.

Differences from Treat & Train

Though these two training systems are very similar, there are a few differences.

  • The remote range for the Teach & Treat is a bit shorter, reaching 90 feet rather than 100 feet.
  • The Teach & Treat is lighter weight.
  • The Teach & Treat remote uses the more common CR 2032 batteries, rather than the older style 12-volt batteries.
  • In addition to the same red error light to show a jam, the Teach & Treat is also equipped with a yellow low food warning light rather than using the same jam indicator.
  • Rather than using the old-style channel selection process to match the remote to the unit, the Teach & Treat has a new pairing process that quickly connects your unit to your remote.
  • On the Teach & Treat, the power button is on the back of the unit rather than on the control panel.
  • All parts have visual differences.
