Our dogs love this toy. It is soft but tough, made out of long lasting canvas.

I use this to train my shelties. One did not know how to pick up toys. This taught him. My puppy is using the lotus as a reward for 2x2 weaves right now.

In my dog's humble opinion, this is the best toy on the market ever to be made. You can absolutely pack the lotus ball with treats and send your dog flying after it. Just make sure to clean it regularly, because slobber can keep the velcro from shutting tightly (and I can tell you, your dog WILL drool all over this toy! ;)

Our 3 year old Sheltie champion show dog never learned to play, had no interest at all. I put treats in the ball, throw it, and now he bounds back and returns the ball to me to open and give him a treat from inside the ball. He loves it, not only chasing and retrieving it, but returning it as well. Great exercise and fun for both of us!

I am using this toy to help with more sensitive dogs during initial Dock Jumping training. Dogs that may not be very toy motivated learn to associate this toy with what really motivates them...food. They are much more willing to brave running down the ramp and going out into the water. They are unable to open the ball until they get it back to solid ground which promotes retrieval of the toy as needed in this sport. Although food is not allowed during competitions the toy has already been classically conditioned and the dog will jump into the pool just for the toy! Thank you!

My dog LOVES these! I bought several to hide around the yard for my dog to find -- like an Easter egg hunt. She wags her tail the entire time as she searches, discovers, and then tears into them to get a little treat.

I have pembroke corgis. I gave the medium ball a try but it was too big because they couldn't open it for the treat. I like the loop on the top that they added and the velcro seems like it will last longer than the ones I bought a couple years ago. They are made so strong that when the velcro wears out, it's just better to buy a new ball then try and sew new velcro on. My two corgis love the play time when they see the balls. Will continue buying when these wear out.

I have used this for a couple of years now for training. My dog knows when he sees it that a treat is in store for him after a successful weave poles, start-line stay, contacts, etc. Half of his fun is running around with it before he rips it open. These last a long time - sometimes over a year for me.
