Doggie-Zen is a family business established in 2008 in Sweden by two sisters, Sara and Hanna. They began as dog training instructors, specializing in training reactive dogs. Having good rewards has always been important in their work, so they started to manufacture their own toys so they would have exactly what they wanted.

The Doggie-Zen Octopus Sheepskin Chaser is a very popular toy for tempting puppies and smaller dogs to play and chase. The head of the octopus is made from faux fur and the toy has three 8"-long flapping "arms" made from fluffy and enticing Swedish sheepskin.

The Octopus Sheepskin Chaser is made from 5/8" nylon and the overall length is 48".

Best tug yet

This was a hit from the moment we first played with it. The sheepskin is a little stinky and my dog loves it. You can see the primal instincts kick in with this one. The long line is my favorite part and I will be aiming for this in future tugs. With the longer line there is less accidental teeth on hands, more motion, and more excitement. The line is unassuming and the toy end so enticing that this is a great tug for dogs/puppies that like to grab at the handle portion of tugs. This is something our puppy has struggled with but with this tug it’s a non issue.

My non-tugger loves it!

My Mini American Shepherd has turned her nose up at all the tugs we've tried at flyball. Today, she not only chased this tug, but tugged with me until I asked her to "give". I think the long handle makes it fun to chase & the sheepskin is enticing to a herding dog. I'll be buying a back-up octopus & look for some similar tugs, as well.
